Heads up friends! The Mission and Ministerial Identity in the ECC class is coming up this month for all graduating students entering the call process, October 15-17. This class is a pre-requisite that is required before students can meet with Superintendents in January. Why is this important to PIM? Because if you are a spouse of a graduating student you are invited and strongly encouraged to attend. Emphasis on strongly added by me. I remember sitting together with spouses of graduating students last year as they talked about navigating the call process. It can be confusing but there are opportunities to learn more and the Mission and Ministerial Identity class is one of them. Here’s a run down of the class schedule…

There will be items this class covers that may not have direct connection to being a spouse through this process (CovConnect profile for example) and you can opt out of those pieces if you want. But, we are walking this call process together with our student spouses and understanding the nitty gritty details of the experience will better prepare us to handle it together. For me, I know I want to be there on Thursday and Friday evening and most of the day on Saturday. Childcare needs may be something you will need to prepare for over the next few weeks before this class. The seminary and PIM have resources available to help defray the cost. If there are a few families going through this class this year we can even pool our resources together. The full syllabus is linked below. Please let us know what questions you may have. Also, let us know if you are coming and how we can support you during the class! FLDC 7319 syllabus 2015.16
